Arboles a lo cubista // Wired Trees, cubists way

Well, I was doing some small trees to play. I can not remember if I have put pictures of this before, but I have them here, I will leave all them here.
The story with these trees have begun 8 years ago, when I made a dead forest scenery to play Warhammer. I had made them using wire as skeleton, outside the wire I surrounded it with cotton yarn, outside of that there was a layer of patching paster. And I painted. Of these trees I had left one aside of the woods, which is the next photo below. I had made the foliage with fome sewn with thread. Last year year I had begun to make trees with and sisal thread, but it was neither nice nor clean. So one day I said, to the devil. And I decided to remake the cubists trees.

This time I looked if I had patching paster, but there was none at home. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut I had the melted plastic gun. So what did I do? I went back to using cotton yarn, but this time, I put a melted plastic layer over the cotton yarn and then I put the foliage, which was foam cut in straight lines and tied with wire.

After that I painted the trunk with brown.

And next, all finished. Dryed brush and paint spots to simulate lichens. In the base there is sand (from Claromecó) and PVA. I havent paint the sand, but I do put PVA over it to keep it well glued.

Here we have a couple of dwarves in love at the woods...

Saludos.
