Starting a deck from zero (MTG)//Armando mazos como el emo del magi...

I have been thinking there has been a while since I have started to build a deck, so I want to build a new one.
I want to make some deck but I dont have yet the idea, I guess it will be a tribal deck, but I have search Apes, Zombies, Skeletons, Berserkers, and there is not enough material to make a deck. Other idea I had is a clown deck, but there are no clowns as type and I dont remember many cards with clowns in the illustration...

I am open to any ideas if there are crazy ones...

For now I have this ideas in mind

• Beasts
• some how a Clown Deck
• a Deamon deck (but in our group we have another demons deck (@astraud)
• or a combo deck, but I am more a creature based player.

Le estuve dando vueltas a la idea de hacer un mazo de cero, hace banda que no hago uno, y quería sentir esa sensación de buscar cartas y mentalmente elegir cuales sí y cuales no. Como estamos en una época de rol, es la temporada ideal para construir mazos porque no nos apura nadie y para cuando vuelvan las épcoas de magi ya tendremos el mazo armadito.
Empecé con la idea de un mazo de Simios  (como yo)

hay lindos dibujos de simios pero no se puede construir algo decente con ellos. De igual forma miré Berserkers, Zombies y esqueletos. Lo que busco cuando armo un mazo tribal de este estilo es que haya sinergia, tipo todos los otros simios (como bernardo) suman +1 +1 cuando simean un thread. Después me puse triste porque por este lado no había cosas interesantes. Y se me ocurrió que podía hacer un mazo de payasos, busqué payasos y clowns en magiccardinfo y nada. Así que me puse más triste todavía y ya parecía el Emo de Capusotto:

Por último dije, no hay emo si no es social, así que a compartir mi tristeza por el mundo y armé este post. La realidad es que probablemente vaya por un mazo o de bestias o de demonios a menos que encuentre algo más interesante en las ideas de los lectores del blog.

Another Year the same blog, otro año y el mismo blog

Bueno el año pasado colgué un poco el blog, no es que lo dejé, pero como que estuve con menos tiempo. Tengo una banda de cosas que hacer para el blog y para el hobby en sí, entrevistas, reviews, pero como soy un colgado colgado me tomo mi tiempo.

Bueno, voy a aprovechar estas vacaciones para ponerme al día con algo de todo lo que tengo colgado, pero para que vayan viendo por dónde viene la mano:

• Armé el starter morat, el hacker maligno y la zerat con multi sniper, despinté y volví a armar unos Zanganos que había comprado el año pasado usados y que no me gustaban como estaban pintados. Imprimé todo esto.
• Tenía armados los Scot Guards, pero sin imprimar, Pumba los imprimé.
• Compré unas copias de enanos de Confrontation, pim pam pum, los armé, y los imprimé.
• Me llegó papá noel con 30 survivors hombres y 30 mujeres de Wargames Factory.
• Estoy leyendo Infinity 3ra edición, estoy viendo si lo consigo en papel, pero por ahora lo imprimimos y lo estoy leyendo.
• Me conseguí un juego que se edita acá llamado Shinobi.
• Ahh y terminé de pintar una miniatura que tenía por ahí y que no tengo idea de donde salió.

Well last year I havent work as I would have liked on the blog, not that I left, but as I was with less time. I had and have a bunch of things to do for the blog and the hobby itself, interviews, reviews...

Well, I'll take this holiday to catch up with a bit of everything that I have hung, but to go see what I am working on now:

• I assembled the starter morat, the Malignos hacker and the Zerat with multi sniper, I also unpainted and rebuild two Drones I had bought last year and I did not like how they were painted. I primed this.
• I had the Scot Guards ready to be primed, so I have also primed this miniatures.
• I bought some clones of the Confrontation dwarves and pim pam pum I did assemble and prime this dwarves.
• It came santa claus with 30 men and 30 women survivors of Wargames Factory. I have to assemble and prime this.
• I'm reading Infinity 3rd edition, I'm seeing if I get it on paper, but for now we print it and I'm reading this.
• I got a game that is published here named Shinobi.
• Ahh I finished painting a miniature I had lying around and I have no idea where it came from.

D&D 5th edition // La quinta de DyD

Bueno resulta que este año si tuviera que ponerle un título a la parte friky sería Rolaño o algo así. Armé un proyecto de Juegos de rol en el colegio que doy clases (estoy armando un post sobre eso), volvimos a jugar Cthulhu (una campaña que no quiero Spoilear para no dar datos), me prendí a jugar Ars Mágica con un "mago" que es el Krupoviesa de los magos (un vikingo semigigante con un hacha a dos manos)...


Well. it turns out this year if I had to put a title to the nerd part would be Role-game or something like that. I started an RPG workshop at the school that I am teaching (I am writing about this in a post), we returned to play Cthulhu (a campaign that I do not want to spoil for not giving aditional data), I turned on to play Ars Magica with a "magician" which is the Krupoviesa of the wizards (one half-giant Viking with an giant axe wielded using both hands) ...

Además de todo esto que fue pasando a lo largo del a también apareció 5ta edición tanto en el mundo rolístico como en nuestro grupo. Resultó también que Ale se consiguió los libros y se lanzó a dirigir. Y como si esto fuera poco, Manimal (del blog de las miniaturas), volvió a jugar rol después de muuuchos años y se cebó en forma. Cuestión que estamos dandole con ganas.

Besides all this that was happening along, it also appeared the Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition both for the world and in our group. It also turned out that was Ale have got the books and he started to directing his first games. And as if that were not enough, Manimal (blog), started to play role again after sooooo many years. So, we are playing fifth edition hard.

Yo no soy muy amigo de DyD, en general, y la cuarta edición me había parecido una porquería. Es una cagada porque lo dirije Joko, pero las reglas de 4ta, los poderes, son demasiado molestos de recordar (algunos los podes usar una vez por pelea, otros una vez por día y otros en cualquier momento (que estés peleando)). En síntesis 4ta potenciaba lo peor de dyd: está pensado para pelear, para ir y matarse a golpes. 5ta es bastante DyD, pero por lo menos no es tanto quilombo. Me hice una pirata gnomo bárbara que la verdad me va gustando bastante (pega poco pero aguanta mucho) y estamos jugando la campaña que sacaron y la verdad que pinta linda. El resto de la party es bastante amplia: un guerrero, un clérigo, dos picaros, un ranger, un druida, un warlock y otro mas que no me acuerdo su profesión.

I am not very fond of D&D in general, and fourth edition had seemed crap to me. It's a pity because this game is directed by Joko, but the rules the powers are really upseting because you have to remember everyone (some You can use once per fight, others once a day and others at any time you're fighting). In short fourth edition potentiated the worst of D&D: it is designed to fight, to go and kill to death. The 5th is quite DyD, but at least it's not so much trouble.
I made a female gnome barbarian pirate who in truth likes me enough (she hits little but holds a lot) and we're playing the campaign that they release and it really seams nice. The rest of the party is quite broad: a warrior, a cleric, two rogues, a ranger, a druid, a warlock and another one I can not remember his profession.

Como siempre los libros de DyD son hermosos, unas ilustraciones del demonio, las reglas volvieron a ser un poco las de 3.5 sin esa parafernalia que se mandaron en 4ta que realmente a mi particularmente no me gustó nada. Y para bien o para mal se juega. Es un clásico que se continúa reversionando y que continua siendo un negocio para todos.

As always dungeons and dragons books are beautiful, some illustrations are excellent, the rules were again a little 3.5 without the paraphernalia that was in the 4th edition which I particularly did not like it at all. It's a classic that continues to be reversioned and remains a business for everyone.

El juego agregó algo que pinta lindo que es ventaja y desventaja. La ventaja y la desventaja actuan semejante. Tirás dos dados en vez de uno, pero cuando tenés ventaja elegís el más alto y cuando tenés desventaja el más bajo. Ejemplo de ventaja sería si le pegás un golpe cuando el otro no lo espera, entonces es más fácil y desventaja por ejemplo cuando llevás armadura pesada para ir sigiloso tenés desventaja (lo cual genera muchos inconvenientes con el tanque del grupo).

The game added something that looks nice: the advantage and disadvantage. The advantage and disadvantage act like it: you throw two dice instead of one, but when you have advantage you keep the highest, and when you have disadvantage you keep the lowest. Example advantage would be if you stab a hit when the other does not hold, then it is easier and disadvantage for example when you have heavy armor and you want to go stealthy.

La campaña ésta (Hoard of the Dragon) pinta linda, por ahora estamos en las primeras partes pero ya tenemos lindos enemigos en medio. Ahora probablemente haya que seguir leveleando para que por lo menos nos llenen menos la cara de dedos.

This campaign that we are plaing (Hoard of the Dragon) looks cute, for now we are in the early parts but we have to face hard enemies while we play it. Now probably we will have to level up to avoid the beatings.

And We are Back (unboxing of the Morat Starter)

Estuve un poco colgado, tengo dos posts que casi están pero me cuelgo a trabajarlos y bueno. Decidí que tenía que poner un unboxing del starter morat que lo había hecho pero mi jermu me borró los videos para hacer espacio en la cámara. Los Morats estos los compré en Mirmidonia el año pasado y como introducir material importado en el país esta como poco complicado (35% de recargo en el dolar, 50% de tasa de importación, retardos increibles hasta que llega el producto). Decidí mandarlo a lo de mi prima afuera. Se dieron una serie de coincidencias y llegó a mi alrededor de junio junto con dos minis mas (la Zerat con multi sniper y el Maligno "cool hacker").

Así que volví hoy del asado de Wargamez, con calor, y mientras escucho Quilmes Racing (gracias Saja), armé un pequeño unboxing en video. El otro era mejor, pero no sé donde está, si tengo otra copia, no la encuentro y la que estaba en la cámara, parece que voló voló...

So, I was a bit hung up, I have two posts that are almost finished but I keep working on them. I decided I had to post a unboxing of morat starter I had done long time ago, but I have found that this videos were deleted by my wife to make room on the camera. This miniatures were bought to Mirmidonia last year and send to London because importing here miniatures is really hard nowadays.

So today when I went back from the Wargamez meeting, with heat, and while I listen Quilmes Racing (thanks Saja), I have filmed a little video of the unboxing. The other was better, but do not know where it is, if I have another copy, and can not find it in the camera, it seems that it flew away...

Pero resulta que como dijo Sor Juana, Hombres necios que acusáis a la mujer, sin razón,sin ver que sois la ocasión de lo mismo que culpáis
Cuestión que revisando bien, encontré que había hecho una copia de los videos.

Entonces más allá de los videos que son una forma rápida de ver las minis, hay varias cosas que comentar:

• Morat Vanguardias, la verdad están bonitos pero no me gusta el pintado nuevo. Me gustán colorinches y los voy a pintar así.
• Ratorak: está bien, la mini cuando la tenga armada la voy a usar bastante ya sea para proxiar, ya sea para usarla con enlaces de suryats...
• Oznat, la loca de los pretas es una hermosa miniatura. Tanto la pose como el arma que tiene me encanta.
• Sogarath=Metal. habría que pesarlo para comparar al sogarath otra miniatura. 

Appart from the videos, my analisis of the miniatures are:

• Morat Vanguard, they are actually pretty, but I do not like the new color scheme. I enjoy the old ones who were plenty of colours and I will paint them that way.
• Ratorak: Okay, when the miniature is glued, I will use it much either for proxy or linked to the Suryats...
• Oznat, the crazy girl with the Pretas is a beautiful miniature. Both pose as the weapon is lovely.
• Sogarath = Metal. I would have to weigh it to compare the sogarath to another model to explain the difference not only in size but in weight.
