Pintando en el finde / / Weekend Pain Ting

Bueno este finde, en particular el sábado durante el partido de rugby entre Los Pumas y la selección de Togo, me puse a pintar. Tengo unos 5 enanos con ballestas que estoy pintando para jugar algún Skirmish de Fantasía (Mordheim o SoBH, o el que se les ocurra al grupo) y tenía que terminarlos. No los terminé, pero les di luces a las capas y sombras a las barbas. Además le volví a dar la base al Cadmus de los Shavastiis, cambiando el tono de azul a uno muy oscuro. Además, seguí iluminando las armas y parte de la armadura con capas diluidas de amarillo. Por ultimo le di una nueva capa de naranja porque tenía una pero no logré que cubra completamente el azul de fondo.

Además le saqué fotos a la loca que voy a usar en la campaña de Ale terminada. repinté el arma porque no me gustó el plateado. Ahora espero que próximamente logre terminar el shavastii y la uxia que anda por ahí dando vueltas.

Well this weekend, especially on Sunday during the rugby match between the Pumas and the selection of Togo, I started to paint. I have about 5 dwarves with crossbows that I am painting to play some Skirmish Fantasy Game (Mordheim or Sobh, or they can think of the group) and I had to finish them. I have not finished them, but I gave them the lights in the clothes and the shadows on the beards. I went back to change the base colour to the Shavastiis Cadmus, changing the tone of blue to a dark one. Also, I kept lighting up the weapons and armor with the diluted yellow layers. Finally I gave him a new coat of orange in the armour of the legs  because it had an layer that failed to completely cover the blue background.

Also I took pictures of the finished Dwarf that I will use in the Alejandro Campaign. I repainted the gun because I did not like the silver metallic. Now I hope that soon I will manage to finish the shavastii and the poor uxia that's out there spinning all the time.

I dont like the new drones

When I started infinity (four or five years ago), I loved the remotes of the Combined army, they had tentacles, wings, the seems to crawl from place to place. They were very alienish style, they were different from the other remotes. Years had past, now we are under 3erd edition and we are seen the new remotes, and call me grumpy old man, I dont like them. They are remotes, but they lack the differentiation from any other remotes. They are much of the same, and even exquisitely painted by Angel Giraldez they dont much the power of the old ones.

Cuando empecé a jugar infinity (hace cuatro o cinco años), me encantaron los remotos del ejército combinado. Tenían tentáculos, ohh por dios ä iä Cthulhu fhtagn, tenían alas, parecían arrastrarse de lugar en lugar. Tenían un claro estilo alienígena y eran diferentes de todos los demás remotines remotanes. Pasó el tiempo, envejecimos, llegó la tercera edición y con ella aparecieron los nuevos remoto. Seré un viejo choto, pero la verdad que no me gustaron, los remotos así como estaban para mi estaban geniales. Ahora me parece que le falta diferenciarse del resto de los remotos. Son, para mi gusto y paladar, más de lo mismo pintados zarpadamente por el loco Giraldez, pero les falta el toque que tienen los viejos.

I am not going to buy them, I have now four remotes (two painted and two others in the process of being peinted, so this is a path I am not going to walk.

No creo que me los compre, ya tengo los 4 remotos de combinado (4 pintados y 4 sin pintar) y con ellos como que mucho más no necesito...

Menhir games and another KS, Itle lo hizo de nuevo.

An old friend from this blog had released another Kickstarter this month. I was about to write about his KS but when I finally visit the KS I found 50K, overly funded. So first Lets know about it:

Idyllwild Games is proud to present "Dark Age Outpost". Sculpted by Ramiro of Menhir Games, Dark Age Outpost is a 28mm scale terrain & miniature set. When asked about this KS, Itle (Ramiro) said

This KS is to get into the world of plastic on one side and on the other to test the potential of "local industry", that is, to prove how goodquality products can be produced here, first starting with something relatively simple like scenery.
If this turns out successful, the next step will be to make miniatures, to thereby keep growing hobby products, financed by hobbyists outside, while continuing to grow outside here to offer cheaper products and try to take off the hobby locally.
In this KS, the key is the GOLD pledge, many things besides the same pledge takes many freebies, part of which (the thumbnails dem ics) can be redeemed for things more plastic, .. The pledge is carried GOLD as 4 meters of buildings (walls, doors and gates).

So, from here we hope this project gets really funded, and they are getting it.

Bueno, Itle sacó otro KS y esta vez la terminó de pegar. La posta es que el loco saca un KS de escenografía, se terminó de financiar al toque y ahora todo lo que viene es de regalo. La verdad es que de a poco el chabón le encontró la vuelta a este mundillo sacando cosas de calidad y en buen precio.

El otro día le pregunté a itle qué onda el KS este, qué era lo más groso del mismo y me respondió lo siguiente:

Este KS de ahora es para adentrarme en el mundo del plástico por un lado y por otro para probar el potencial que tiene la "industria local", osea, probar que tan buena calidad se puede producir acá, primero empezando con algo relativamente sencillo como escenografía.
Si sale bien, el siguiente paso será hacer miniaturas, para de ese modo seguir creciendo con productos del hobbie, financiado por los hobbystas de afuera, para que además de seguir creciendo afuera, acá poder ofrecer productos baratos e intentar hacer despegar el hobby localmente, cosa difícil siendo que para jugar algo tenes que comprar minis afuera, y toda la bola, como ya sabemos, cosa que no ayuda en nada ni logisticamente, ni cronologicamente ni economicamente al desarrollo del hobby.
En este KS, el pledge clave es el GOLD, se lleva muchas cosas ademas del pledge mismos, muchos freebies, parte de los cuales (las miniaturas dem etal) se pueden canjear por mas cosas de plastico,.. El pledge GOLD se lleva como 4 metros lineales de edificaciones (muros, puertas y torres), suficiente para hacerte alta fortaleza de madera.

Estuve un poco apagado en el blog, no porque no haya hecho nada sinó que me costó encontrar el tiempo para publicar. Pero como estoy ahora con tiempo libre subo un par de imágenes de minis que ando pintando.

I have been with the blog a little silent (too much work makes Jack a dull boy), but here we are again). I have been painting, specialli Dwarves for my two projects, a Dwarf skirmish warband, and for a KOW army. Here you have some of them.

Los enanos de arriba forman parte de una serie de miniaturas para jugar skirmish (si anibal, berto o guillote se dignan a decidir qué juego, porque a unos les gusta Mordheim, a otros no, a mi me gusta SoBH, y así estamos)...

Después, dando vueltas por la ciudad encontré dos cosas que me gustaron mucho: una estatua al inca Garcilazo de la Vega, que tiene las águilas bicéfalas vaya uno a saber para qué y unos bointos dragones en el subte C estación Belgrano.

Another Bretonnian Knight finished // Otro Bretoniano e finito.

Last two or three weeks I have been painting another bretonian knight. In this case the second of an old box of realm knights that I have found in the vault. It had been a lot of time from the last time I painted Knights.
In this case I started choosing two colours in the range of pastel, a blue and an orange. With this in mind I started to paint the bard and the body of the knight.
I also painted the falcon, based on some internet pictures of falcons.

Las últimas semanas estuve pintando otro caballero bretoniano. En este caso, el segundo de una vieja caja encontrada en uno de esos lugares inesperados y que uno después de muuuuchos años pintando minias de SciFi tiene ganas de pintar. Para este caballero elegí primero los colores en el rango de los pasteles: un azul y un naranja pasteloso. Empecé pintando la barda del caballo, el escudo y el cuerpo del caballero. Por último busqué imágenes de Halcones para pintar el halcón de su mano.
