Disposable Heroes

The last week of march I have gone to tthe first historical games day in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Appart from the hot day and the usual humidity of this city the day was great. Durin it I have learned to play a game that liked me a lot and that I am trying to start: Disposable Heroes. The game dynamics are different from the other games I have known: Warhammer and Infinity, in this game you use alternatibly a group of your soldiers, then the other player uses one of his until both had activated the whole group of units. Its pretty straight forward, because you dont have to trow dices for anything except shooting or the will (guts) checks.

El último fin de semana de Marzo me fuí a la Jornada de wargames históricos. Aparte del día cálido y de la ya habitual humedad de esta ciudad, fue un gran día. Durante el mismo aprendí a jugar un wargame que me gustó bastante y que estoy tratando de empezar a jugarlo: Disposable Heroes. La dinámica del juego es distinta a los otros dos wargames que jugué: Warhammer e infintity, en este juego se van usando alternativamente una unidad del jugador A o del jugador B hasta que se activaron todas. Es un juego bastante directo, porque no hay que hacer tiradas para casi nada excepto disparar o la tirada de voluntad.

Its a WWII game, that implies that you play either with the russians, the germans, the USA army, the english, the japanese or any other army that has taken place in the second war. The game has a nice list of weapons, troops and vehicle choices. I guess I will start with the plastic soldiers 20 mm russian soldiers, but I may change the idea and try the 28 mm instead, because of the scenery...

Es un juego de la segunda guerra mundial, lo que implica que jugas o bien con los rusos, con los alemanes, con los estadounidenses, con los japaneses, los ingleses o cualquier otro ejercito que haya tomado parte en esta contienda. El juego tiene una linda lista de opciones de armas, tropas y vehículos. Me imagino que empezaré con la caja de plastic soldiers de 20 o 28 mm, todavía no he decidido esto último.
